prince baggett

Prince Baggett is Head of Motion Picture for Marsai Martin's production company, Genius Productions. He passionately creates and develops film projects that represent and tell the stories of young women of color, creating a new precedent and opportunities for those who are often overlooked in Hollywood.

 

Currently Prince manages Genius Productions First-Look deal with Universal where they have already set up projects including “Amari and the Night Brothers” producing alongside Mandeville (Beauty and the Beast, Wonder) as well as Don Cheadle, “Queen” & “Stepmonster” (producing alongside Will Packer Productions) to name a few. On top of that selling unscripted and scripted content which have not been announced in the trades yet. Prince is responsible for developing and producing upcoming features for the production company, from inception to script, and through production.

 

Over the span of his career as a creative director and producer, Baggett has worked with talents, studios and agencies alike to help find opportunities which help tell stories of people of color and help put them in front of and behind the camera.


Baggett began working in film and television in 2005 as an intern in the television department for Paramount Pictures introducing him to content creation and producing. Eventually, he rose to be an executive in television, which then lead him to working in various development positions.

 

Baggett is also responsible for overseeing Lamar Odom’s New York Times Best Selling book “Darkness to Light: A Memoir” overseeing every aspect of the deal working with the publishing company as well as the authors.

 

Baggett is a native of Inglewood, California, and currently resides in his home state in Hollywood, CA.

joy ganes 

Joy Ganes is President of Tracy Yvonne Productions ("First Wives Club") which specializes in film and television development and production.  Prior to that Ms. Ganes was the Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at BBC Studios.  In that capacity, she supported the production and development departments of the scripted and unscripted teams in all linear and digital matters.  Ms. Ganes was also Head of Production at OWN Studios where she helped manage productions and content creation on both the OWN network and www.oprah.com.  Ms. Ganes began her legal career was an associate for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, LLP in New York. She represented multinational businesses in antitrust litigation matters with respect to the Department of Justice. She also was active in pro bono matters that included negotiating screenplay options extensions for small budget films.  


In addition to being an attorney, Ms. Ganes  is a graduate of the Peter Stark Producing Program at USC. She has produced a number of shorts, but most recently produced the feature film "Premature" released by IFC in February 2020 and "I'll Meet You There" which was set to premiere at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival.

 

Ms. Ganes' passion in independent producing stems from developing projects that allow her to tell universal stories that are both entertaining and socially relevant. She seeks to create art that demonstrates that we are more alike than we are different.

supervising creative producer | buzzzfeed

christine sanders 

Christine Sanders is a Supervising Creative Producer at BuzzFeed where she manages a team of writers, producers, and directors who create shareable branded content for advertisers including Disney and Amazon. 


Prior to BuzzFeed, she was the Director of Production at the Wall Street Journal Custom Studios, where she oversaw global production for documentary-style branded content videos including the viral advertising campaign Cocainenomics for Netflix. Sanders has received numerous accolades for her work including a Webby, Cannes Lions, Telly, and IAA Brilliance Award.


In 2018, she was a featured creator in Essence Magazine, Afropunk, Mic, Ozy, and other publications for her web series Barely Adults. Sanders has also worked at MTV Networks as an Associate Producer and the Food Network as a Development Coordinator. She is a graduate of New York University with concentrations in Journalism and Africana Studies.

karen toliver 

As executive vice president of creative for Sony Pictures Animation, Karen Toliver is responsible for the creative supervision of a number of upcoming features for the studio, from inception to script, and through production.

 

In her role, Toliver is also in charge of recruiting key storytelling talent, and discovering and acquiring new creative material and intellectual property aligned with Sony Pictures Animation’s vision including original concepts, books, comics, video games, shorts, websites, and toys.

 

Toliver is also the producer of the Academy Award®-winning animated short film, "Hair Love," directed by Matthew A. Cherry.

 

Toliver has extensive experience in production and development, including 10 years at Fox Animation where she supervised the production of the "Rio" film franchise and the latest three films in the "Ice Age" series, which grossed a combined $3.1 billion at the worldwide box office. Toliver also spearheaded the original feature "Ferdinand," which was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature.

 

Toliver served as a production executive at Walt Disney Animation Studios on films such as "Brother Bear," "Chicken Little," and "Meet the Robinsons."

 

Toliver began her career as an assistant at Walt Disney Pictures working on the "Mighty Ducks" franchise.
